Long regarded as the standard focal length, a 50mm lens requires skill to use it well. The fastest standard lens in its class, the EF50mm f/1.2L USM lens is a natural choice for ambient light portraits with a natural, flattering perspective. The large, circular aperture can be used to create a very shallow depth-of-field and pleasing out of focus highlights.

The f/1.2 maximum aperture allows an almost unprecedented level of control over depth-of-field. With a circular aperture design, this lens is capable of achieving beautiful bokeh (background blur) to help you to isolate the subject from the background.

EF Lenses with Canon C300

Canon have a gigantic stock of EF mount lenses available worldwide. EF stands for “Electro-Focus”: Automatic focusing on EF lenses is handled by a dedicated electric motor built into the lens. A popular ‘package’ of EF lenses available with our Canon EOS C300 stock would be 16-35mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm f 2.8
