MakeItVR Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. This competition is promoted by Shooting Partners Holdings Ltd (company no. 09701969) whose registered office is at Unit 13, Mount Road Industrial Estate, Mount Road, Feltham, Middlesex, TW13 6AR.
  2. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of Shooting Partners Group, Nokia and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  6. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  7. Closing date for entry will be 5 March 2018. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  9. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:
    • Simply fill in the form at before 5 March 2018 to enter the first phase of the competition and stand a chance to be shortlisted for the grand prize.
    • Shooting Partners will shortlist 5 entries based on the information provided in this form – specifically, how convincing and relevant their motivation for winning the prize is.  Shortlisted entrants will be informed by 15 March 2018.
    • The shortlisted entrants will be invited to participate in a VR shoot workshop during the period March/April 2018 where they will be introduced to the principles of VR shooting and participate in a Nokia OZO demonstration.
    • The shortlisted entrants will then be invited to create and submit their VR shoot plans by 31 May 2018 which will be used to select the grand prize winner.  The criteria for selecting the grand prize winner will be provided when entries are invited.
    • The grand prize winner will be announced by 30 June 2018 and needs to be claimed by 30 September 2018 or may be forfeited.
  10. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  11. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  12. The prize is as follows:
    • A VR Shoot workshop for 5 x shortlisted entrants
    • Grand prize winner pre-production support including technical planning meeting with the SP team
    • 1 x VR shoot day including a fully trained technician for camera setup and operation and the following kit;

      i    The OZO VR camera.

      ii    3 x  OZO Digital Cartridge bundles.  Each bundle includes a rechargeable battery and a  removable OZO Media Module that supports recording for 45 minutes

      iii  OZO Docking Station for battery re-charge and media transfer.

      iv  Macbook Pro with Oculus DK2 Head Mounted Display which allows users to preview the output from the OZO camera in real time.

    • The prize does not include any other shoot crew or technical equipment beyond that stated above.Only the technician supplied by Shooting Partners is permitted to operate the Nokia OZO.The grand prize includes transport for the OZO kit and technician within a 100 mile radius of greater London. If the winner’s shoot location is further afield, the winner will be responsible for travel and associated logistics and costs.
    • The prize does not include post-production and is considered complete at the end of the shoot day.
    • The winner will be responsible for all post-production costs and logistics.
    • The winner will need to provide the promoter with hard drives for handover of the footage captured on the shoot day.
    • All aspects of the prize are subject to the promoter’s and equipment’s availability.
    • The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice
  13. Winners will be chosen by the Shooting Partners team.
  14. The winner will be notified by email by 30 June 2018.  If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  15. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  16. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  17. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  18. The winner agrees to the use of their company and personal name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. The winner also agrees to provide information and permission to share content including press releases, case studies and editorial for publication on the internet, social media and trade publications.  Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
