Media Production Show 2016

Shooting Partners exhibited at the very well attended Media Production Show on 9th&10th June 2016.

The Media Production Show is a unique event which looks at all forms of content creation across many mediums with a focus on TV, film & the advertising sectors.

The show looked at how technology has changed the way we not only watch content but how it can take a film, TV programme or commercial to another level with clarity of picture from the camera, stunning sound, and visual & special effects.

Shooting Partners shared a well located space with Canon UK to offer not only fantastic camera options in hand, but highly informative seminars delivered from leading media industry experts.

The seminars presented on the SP stand covered topics such as compression and codecs by Lighting Cameraman Mark Langton (@CameraNerdUK), Lighting, composition and Auto Focus on the Canon C300 MKII from popular and fountain of knowledge DOP Simeon Quarrie (@simeonquarrie), valuable pre-production and planning info from the wonderful and extremely busy Line Producer and Founder of The Unit List, Jude Winstanley (@judewinstanley), plus a well attended post production talk, focusing on changes to the post industry, from Head of Post Production at Fremantle UK: Donna Mulvey Jones (@MulveyJones).

Many thought provoking points were raised by the speakers. Shooting Partners team members were on hand to provide advice on workflows, equipment and training guides. The stand talks were spread out during the day and in between Shooting Partners showed some informationve video clips based on popular products such as the Sony FS7, Nexto DI Bridge and Go Pro Backbone Ribcage custom devices. A much anticipated seminar talk on the SP stand came from Sound Supervisor and audio expert Richard Meredith, (@AudioDeptUK) focusing on the Go Pro SyncBac device (@SyncBacPro).

Timecode Systems developed the SyncBac Pro, working closely with GoPro to create a customized product that enables the HERO4 to timecode sync in the same way as traditional film and broadcast equipment.

Attach a SyncBac PRO to every unit and timecode sync multiple HERO4 units via long range wireless RF. Simply make one GoPro the master unit and timecode sync unlimited GoPro slaves.

As well as Shooting Partners there were over 90 exhibitors covering production services, equipment, post production tools and content distribution platforms.  60 seminars from some of the best talent in the industry. Speakers reflecting on their recent projects, offering insights into their techniques and processes and their thoughts on the future of the creative sectors.
