LED WALLS HELPS CREATE THE X-FACTOR

Anna Valley Displays was chosen by Talkback Thames to deliver a multitude of state of the art display technology for the current ITV series of THE X FACTOR.

The production team from Talkback Thames and Simon Cowell were looking to take the production design up a notch with a “wow factor”. This was delivered by Production Designer, Florian Wieder, who worked closely with Anna Valley Displays to incorporate, 6 moving LED high resolution displays, 2 large projection screens and over 40 ninth generation plasma displays into the set design.

Any of the displays could be fed during the live shows with cameras, video-servers or driven by lighting effects generated by Lighting Director, Dave Davey.

All the displays were selected for their ability to match colourimetry and have minimal, compatible video processing delay. This coupled with stability and reliability on the 38 live shows, on ITV1/2, were mandatory requirements of the Director Jonathan Bullen.
