Ricky Gervais' Comic Relief Appeal

Shooting Partners worked with the BBC to provide crew and kit for the Ricky Gervais insert of this years Comic Relief. The 10 minute insert was shot on the Sony DVW 790 SDI camcorder by DOP Peter Edwards and Shooting Partners camera assistant James Abbott. The sketch showed Ricky Gervais pretending to do his appeal for Comic Relief in Africa, where in fact it was all a set up been filmed in a studio. Stephen Merchant exposes the hoax and joins him in the appeal, then Bob Geldof joins in with Jamie Oliver, Bono and Claudia Shiffer.
